ABOUT > Why CURA exists

Getting medical care in a language you do not speak is frightening. CURA tells you where someone can talk to you, who that person is, and how well they speak it.

What we do

CURA lists clinics in Korea that can support patients in a language other than Korean. For each clinic we record which languages are covered, who speaks them — the doctor, an interpreter, or the front desk — and how well. You search by symptom, clinic type, or the test you need, then filter by language once you see results.

How a clinic gets listed

We start from public sources: the national health service directory, district public health centers, and clinics' own websites. Those entries are marked “Listed source”. A CURA team member then calls the clinic, asks who speaks the language and at what level, and records the date. Only then does it become “Verified”, and we re-check periodically.

What we will not do

We do not diagnose, recommend treatment, or rank clinics by payment. We do not publish a language claim we have not seen in a source or heard on a call. When we do not know something — opening hours, a doctor's level — the site says so instead of guessing.

Where we are today

CURA is early. Coverage is Seoul and Busan, the site works in seven languages, and phone verification is under way. Booking and a map view are planned. If you know a clinic that should be listed, or you find something wrong, email us — we read every message.
